The HTMS Makut Rajakumarn is a frigate operated by the Royal Thai Navy. The ship was built by Yarrow Shipbuilders in Glasgow, Scotland 1971.The design was based on the Malaysian frigate KD Rahmat, but is larger and has a second gun at the stern.The ship entered service in 1973 and fitted as a flagship.

HTMS Makut Rajakumarn was refitted in 1985-88 following an engine room fire in 1984. After nearly 15 years of service, Yarrow frigate for the Royal Thai Navy had been install all weapons and sensors completed successfully.

The port side of HTMS Makut Rajakumarn. Have ZW06 radar, the ladders to DA05 radar floor and TDS. Lifeboats was different from the starboard side

-Replace Plessey PMS-26 hull sonar (Max Range 3nm) with Atlas DSQS-21C Active Search/Attack Sonar sonar (Max Range 16nm)
-Install Thales SEWACO (FORESEE-TH) CMS
-Install 1xThales ZW06 a surface search and navigation radar
-Install ESM Elettronica ELT 211
-Install ECM noise jammer Elettronica ELT 318, with 4xELT 828 antennas inside spherical dome
-Install Sippican Mk 33 RBOC Decoy
-install Thales Link Y Mk 1

In 1998 HTMS Makut Rajakumarn removed the Sea Cat missiles and Limbo anti submarine mortar( time expired). Change number to 433 and she began service as the training ship in 2010

-Replace Sea Cat Launcher with OTOBreda 40 mm/70 Bofors Twin Compact naval gun
-Replace HSA M44 radar/visual director with the second Target Designation Sight (TDS)
-Replace 2xBofors 40/60 Guns with 2xPMW49A (STWS-2) Torpedo Launcher for BAE Sting Ray Lightweight acoustic homing torpedo
-Remove Limbo Mk 10 Anti Submarine Mortar
-Install 1xSATCOM
-Install 1xKoden and 1xFuruno navigation radars, now she have 4 navigation radars including ZW06 :D

edit : update OTOBreda 40 mm/70 Bofors Twin Compact
