For Novice I have made these two badges. But I have a question for my brazilian mates (or others who have knowledges in this matter). As in other navies there are vessels with names used before. But I can't find evidence that the former vessels had badges. For example Mariz e Barros was used by a vessel from 1945 to 1972 but the badge seems only attached to the Mariz e Barros from 1973 - 1997. I have hard to believe that it is so, so my question is if you can confirm it or enlight me? ;) And if you can provide me with information when Marinha do Brasil began to use badges I'll be much abliged!

THX Kim for the badges. The Araguari of 1940 to 1974 used the above badge, and as for Mariz e Barros I'm not certain, although I've seen pictures of her with what appears to be the badge on the aft funnel.
Here the Mariz e Barros in 1966 with the badge on the aft funnel
