Good afternoon, gentlemen.

In the late 1960s, CMN built a series of torpedo boats for the Navy of Israel after a Lurssen 45 mts design. This was the Saar 1 class. Armed with 3 Bofors L70 with Oto Melara feed system, it was equiped with hull sonar and 4 ASW tubes at stern. This class was renamed as Saar 2 when it was armed with 8, 6 or 5 Gabriel SSM and were used in 1973 missile battles off Latakia and Baltim. A further evolution, Saar 3, armed with an Oto Melara 76 mm in A position and 6 Gabriel missiles were built and had an important role in 1973 battles, in the late 1970s 2 were sold to the Chilean Navy.

Based in this hull, Lurssen developed a missile boat armed with 4 Exocet missiles, which were the S148 class. Later Lurssen sold a number of boats, as torpedo gunboats or missile boats under the lebel of TNC-45 (for Top Navy Craft).

Finally, CMN in France sold in the 1970s and 1980s a very similar vessel under the label La Combatante II. The first of them for the Greek Navy in the early 1970s.

After being paid off of the Hellenic Navy, the boat Anninos was sold to the Georgian Navy. It was equiped with the Exocet canisters, but not missiles were carried when the vessel was sunk by the russian troops during the 2008 invasion.

Credits: Most of the work here is based in MConrads drawings. The Exocet launcher of the Perdana class is modelled after Laforest's drawing. The Oto Melara 76 mm gun of Saar 3 is a drawing of Gunship, and the same turret of all the other vessels are from Ace's bellow the decks sheet. Thanks to all. Cheers.

Edited: Thanks to Odysseus, for the full documentation of the first La Combattante II, the greek Exocet armed missile boats!

Very nice to see all these!

OTL Hellas was the lanching user of Combattante II together with MM38 missile, so for historical reasons an HN Combattante Class would be significant adding.
