There is a very good website on Eastern bloc fishing vessels, if you haven't seen it I can give you a link.

Not only Soviet, but also East German and Polish designed fishing fleets. But I cannot find it now.

Loving these additions, your are in the zone with these smaller ships, making some gorgeous drawings that prove it doesn't need to be a battleship to look good.
