Just been flicking through one of my books (Battleships and Battlecruisers 1905-1970, Siegfried Breyer) and saw a few Bismarck design proposals, and am now wondering if you'd consider drawing the different design proposals of the Bismarck and maybe a fictional Carrier design?

Sounds great...a carrier Bismarck would be interesting indeed.

I spent many a night with tracing paper with Breyer (dating myself)

Sorry, but I don`t really plan to do that...

At the moment I am working on some Real Designs like "Tirpitz" and "Deutschland" (drives me nuts) and - unfortunately - my drawing time is limited.

Also a Design like that would belong in the AU-category and I must admit, I´m not really a fan of "hybrid-carriers" anyway.

Of course you are welcome to use my drawing as a basis for a conversion!

Cheers!

Hi guys,

sorry for the double post, yet i thought this deserves a "fresh" one.

So, I was a little dissatisfied with the hull red I used on my drawings so far. It seemed a little too bright to match the actual colour used by the Kriegsmarine.
After a little search I came up with something that should match the "Schiffsbodenfarbe 5" better in my opinion.

So what do you think? Better or worse? Comments regarding the shading are also welcome, since I`m not too happy with it...

Thanks in advance!

Looking good. I used to be very vigorously opposed to moving away from the standard #FF0000 for hull coloration, but have to admit the more realistic "rust red" has started to grow on me.

Looks like the red recommended to be used in the paint guide for the 1/350-scale Tamiya model...very nice work!

Yes, that looks spot on and so right. The shading looks good to me too.

Just made a classic even better.

This thread continues to be nothing short of outstanding and the bar on this site keeps getting lifted - makes it difficult for us mere mortals to keep up!
