I was planning on doing the main variations only, that is HMS Vindictive as built and as a carrier, HMS Raleigh as built, and HMS Effingham as built and as converted. I might do other variations, if and when time permits.

I can see your point, but that's were the waterline mark was on the drawing.
It's a fairly beamy design, and the above water hull is essentially just a big box.
Of course, Thornycrofts calculations might be off (It wouldn't be the first time), but I'm not good enough at the relevant math to check them.

Fortunately it is not the Never-Were artist's job to comment on feasibility, provided the subject is more than a 13-year-old's dream

I do agree that in practice, this ship seems unlikely to have been terribly successful. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, though.
