Right... Guys, I'd understand the hoopla a lot more if Blackbuck had chosen to update/redraw the actual T23 drawing in the archive right now, and not credited Bezo, or asked him if it was allright to do an upgrade.

As it is, this is just a fantasy drawing.

And has anyone actually asked Hood if he's still on this?

As it is I really suggest cooling down a bit and working somethign out on PM, because the last time we had a drawing war here was me and Mitch over the LCF, and although that drawing came out for the best, we did have a banning in that thread.

And has anyone actually asked Hood if he's still on this? (Yes, that's twice.)

Hoopla, get your hoopla here...

Frankly, I'm not liable to even ask to touch the T23 in the near future due to external commitments, it would be nice to get something in the archive to the standard of the FFG-7s at some point.

AFAIK It's on his work-list, I have ascertained no more - no less.

I'm keeping out of this, if people want to insinuate things without grounds, let them. I know full well that the drawing isn't plagiarised.

Refer to above.

I think these look really good and there are some good ideas here.

I've no plans to redraw the Type 23. I had, but then Bezo came out with his version and I saw no need to bother with duplicating his efforts. So the T23 has not been in my worklist ever since. If anyone wants to redraw it go ahead.
If both Blackbuck and Bezo have used the same source, both will look very similar. I never found more than a couple line drawings oft the T23 to use as a base.

Something different to the current set.

My logical progression of early noughties built vessels. Lacking in US systems for political reasons. I'm reasonably confident the 127mm/64 could be shipped although don't hold me to it...

*Once again there's a 32 cell VLS. This time either A43 or A50 SYLVER launchers. Prior to the arrival of CAMM there would either be 32 Aster 15 residing there or a mix of Aster 15 and VL-MICA.

*SSMs come in the form of Kongsberg NSMs which prior to the refit would have been Sea Skuas.

*Chemring Centurions are present again along with DLF-3s for active defence, passive defence is provided by Elettronica Nettuno-4100s.

*A pair of Typhoon MLS-NLOS launchers reside amidships for Spike-NLOS as sometimes, firing an NSM at something is just a bit too much.

*Further back there are a pair of Mini-Typhoons with 12.7mm FN Brownings in them.

*The manned 30mm mounts previously encountered have been replaced with MLG-27s

*Considering the lack of illuminators (other than datalinks for CAMM) I've gone back to that ever popular over-hangar position for the CIWS (in this case a Millennium). The firing arc shouldn't be too bad all things considered.

*Modifications to the ships themselves include a revised fin stabiliser and bilge keel arrangement, retractable emergency propulsor and slightly re-profiled rudders.

*Propulsion is via 4x Ruston 12RK270s generator sets @ ~2,070kW each. With (tentatively) those two WR-21s @ ~25MW each.

*Sensors are as the previous refits, Artisan, EOSS, EOS-500 et al.

ETA: Alternate armament and hangar fit.

*RBS-15s lifted from other vessels on their way out over NSMs.

*Double width and lengthened (for certain helicopters) hangar capable of accommodating two lynxes rather than the earlier single one.

*No Millennium due to weight concerns over the rear of the ship (don't want the stern to start digging in and have to be ballasted)

*76mm/62 DART over the 127mm/64 which is just as capable of firing VULCANO as the 127mm albeit with a smaller projectile...

Well, whatever, ace. I don't believe it, but I don't give a farthing about it anymore. So be it then.
You should pull both drawings into Paint and compare if you think they are the same. If there's a legitimate reason for concern we can address it then.

There's only ONE way to get to the bottom of this!! By layering Blackbuck's "Super Type 23" over Bezobravoz's "Original Type 23" at reduced transparency (similar to an overhead projector sheet, for the less technologically inclined) and moving things around a bit, the debt Blackbuck owes to Bezobravoz comes into sharp focus - no pun intended!

Up to this point, you may be excused for thinking these similar pixels are merely coincidental...

HOWEVER, consider this, and consider it well:

24 pixels and it starts to look like a little more than a farthing - we've moved into the realm of florins!

Not sure if serious?

You know the radar and RESM are on the parts sheet, right?
