Welcome on board in the badge drawing :D I like your first attempt and will put it in a template. Though two minor things; the snake on the helmet should be a bit more slim and the horse hair ought to be pure red ;)

Looking for a specific badge, but all I can find is a description. Its for the HMS Zephyr (R19) in WW2
