Huehen, it's not that at all, but rather, none of the Classic Battletech source books have accurate measurements of said vehicles or battlemechs. I, for one, am very interested, but cannot draw one accurately to scale.

Personally I think time is better spent drawing real life ships in Shipbucket scale. ;)
