Someone might remember my Far eastern AU project which I managed to get past World War II. Then I had this crazy idea that what if I would combine my two AU megaprojects (AU Finland and AU pseudo-soviet union in its various incarnations) into single universe of completely my own making. It would free me from the boundaries of alternative history in our own world and allow me to fully endorse the concepts that I have drafted for these projects.
While I begun to work the new alternative universe, called Aravala, I continued to draw the fleet that had started in Far Eastern Republic and now just quickly adopted into the new universe under the flag of Neuvosto Union, the definitive version of my pseudo-soviet union concept. However it ran into troubles in the finishing line. I was unable to come up with cohesive fleet of clear base and logical construction. It ended up beign somewhat schizophrenic mixture of former Far Eastern ships, make-US-ships-look-like-russians and pseudo russian designs. It almoust worked but in the end I was forced to give up and go back to the starting point.
While I abandoned these ships as an official drawings for my AU project, I would be shame to leave them unseen. Given that I had spent almoust a year or so for these...So thus I decided to publish them here as sort of semi-official trailer and teaser for the new project. Some of them might end up in the official version in the future.
I always get excited when you rock up with a new AU.
Tons of good looking ships, nice to see you starting with amphibs, they look very good. I like the West-East mashup aesthetic and it works well I think, they don't look like carbon copies.
