Lyon class battleship and "alternative" layout which was published in American journal "Proceedings" and also in the Brassey's naval catalog. There appears not to have any real base for the layout at least not published in any french document. The issue is been covered by mid 80's Warship International.

The only known french battlecruiser projects. First two are by later Admiral Durand Viel's naval academy studies, two version, variant A with 8 340mm guns and variant B with 8 370mm guns. The third one by naval engineer Gille with 12 340mm guns.
