I guess we have reached the maximum amount of attachments already..... time to remove WIP's I guess, or time to move back to photobucket....

In a nutshell, there's only a limited amount of hard drive space set aside for attachments, 50Mb if memory serves, so yes, it's time to go back and remove all the excess drawings.

Particularly huge reference drawings, which have always been on the do-not-attach list. Perhaps the moderators need to be more diligent in smacking members who abuse the attachment feature, as it ultimately destroys that feature for everyone.

I believe I warned everyone about not attaching huge files, but, as always, I was ignored.

Edit: oh wait, I did... and it's stickied and a global announcement...

As I said, more diligent in smacking...

Could you/someone wipe away all attachments older than (say) a week, so that we might try again?

is the attachement limit come to end for everyone or to just someone?
if its to everyone, then Im going to prune most of the stuff and start be rather strickt (and instruct the mods as well)

but if its just uplimit to individual members that have posted too much, then its naturally their own proplem.

(i've been away this weekend so enligthen the boss as he has come back)

Edit: Tested it myself... :|
edit2: check the new annoucement about the issue

Golly, is there a way for you to save all of them and have them as a zip file or some such, so that the junk can be filtered, then a file with all of the final images be posted?

I ask because while I have probably one of the most complete shipbucket backups of anyone (I almost every single image from the site, and most from the forum), I don't have time to double check and pull down all of the attachments today.

I need to check that out. I'm starting to think that perhaps give more time to people to actually save their stuff. But AFAIK the only ways to make the uploading attachements aviable is to either first disable them completely and re-allow it, or increase the overall MB level of the attachement quota.

nothing forbids you vigilant ones to delete your own attachements that you consider trash yourselves. I also don't have time to go trough every attachement idividually and value wheter its usefull or not.
